CHARLOTTE, NC — Bowie State's Lorenzo Pelham was named the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday. The award is the third for Bowie State on the men's side this season.
Pelham showed off his lightning speed at the HBCU Showcase in New York, earning second place in the 60m hurdles final last Saturday with a time of 7.98. His performance set the pace for his teammates as the Bulldogs combined for multiple top-10 finishes. BSU will compete in the Widener Invitational in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania, January 24-25.
