Pembrokeshire goats that are used as environmentally friendly lawnmowers in the churchyard

Goats were introduced as an environmentally friendly way of keeping a churchyard in shape.

Narberth Town Council in Pembrokeshire is used in St. Andrew's Church to clarify excess growth around the tombstones and the location.

The goats come from a company that is assumed that he is the only one of his types in the UK, who offers the service for the council, as well as for a national park and other local churches.

The goats are kept in their designated areas with the GPS satellite technology, which were recently shown on Clarksons Farm, the moderator Jeremy Clarkson's agricultural program.

Visitors are asked to support the program by avoiding the pasture goats at work, ensuring that children are supervised and kept away by them and dogs are kept on leads.

It is to be hoped that the goats can be used as a natural and chemical -free method for the treatment of overgrown areas and to control blackberries and invasive vegetation.

Daily welfare examinations are carried out on you to ensure that you are looked after healthy, safe and on site throughout your time, the city council said.

The goats themselves come from Biogoats 2 Rent by Richard White and Dawn hard from the biogoats 2 based in Clyndewen, who said that the goats were already on site in St. Andrews and are expected to stay there for two to three weeks.

The Council said in an explanation: “The city council of Narberth continues to work to improve the site of St. Andrew's Church as part of our ongoing program on biological diversity and environmental improvement.

“These goats will help to delete excess growth around the tombstones and the location so that we can implement a longer -term soil management plan.”
