AUBURN, Calif. – The Placer County Conservation Program will host a Raccoon Creek Ranch Protection and Restoration Kickoff Event to celebrate the permanent protection and restoration of 4,245 acres of premier farmland, open space and streams north of Lincoln.
The event will include remarks from PCCP leaders, a sign unveiling and a tour of Raccoon Creek, where extensive restoration work is planned. The speakers are available for media interviews.

The Raccoon Creek Ranch Project marks one of the most significant conservation milestones in Placer County history:
- 4,245 acres permanently protected from development and mining
- 1,299 hectares of active agricultural production
- 6 mile stream system with salmon and steelhead habitat
- Total investment of $61 million in preservation and restoration efforts
- Created one of the largest contiguous protected land blocks in West Placer County
