In Posad Pokrovsky, KHerson Oblast, not only the houses of the villagers are rebuilt, but all destroyed infrastructure, administrative and social facilities are restored.
According to Oleksiy Kuleba, Vice Prime Minister for the reconstruction of the Ukraine, Minister for Communities and Areas, housing construction is only part of the reconstruction that must be comprehensive.
“Jobs, medical services, education, accommodations, social services. All of this should go hand in hand with new walls,” He explained.

Keba found that Posad-Pocrovske is one of the first settlements that were restored as part of the pilot project.
“The pace of reconstruction must meet the needs of people so that the work is accelerated. In the past few months, 220 houses have been dismantled. The tendering procedures have been underway and new projects have been developed. The task is to restore 362 houses until the end of autumn”. said the deputy prime minister for the reconstruction of Ukraine.

Previously, the UAH government has assigned 5.2 billion to the extensive restoration of five settlements, including Posad-Pocrovske in the Kherson region. It is planned to “rebuild better than before”, which means a comprehensive approach to modernizing the infrastructure and to improve the life of the citizens.
Since the end of February, the KHerson Regional Reconstrual Service has started to announce tenders for the repair of houses that were damaged by the Russians in Posad Pokrovske. They announced five offers for over 238 million UAH to repair 97 houses. The contractors must restore roofs, facades, supply companies and internal repairs. Two other auctions worth 400 million UAH are for the construction of 103 houses.
