Pay-What-You-Can Charity Restaurant Comfort Cafe serves classic breakfast, including pancakes.
The popular Pay-What-You-Can Brunch Spot Comfort Cafe will soon close its location in Los Patios at 2015 a Loop 410.
The business broke the news on Monday afternoon to the fans and revealed that its last duty will be the independence day weekend. The Comfort Cafe owned Teri and Rosalina Lopez has been able for almost four years.
Comfort Cafe serves breakfast, brunch and lunch with a donation proposed per meal. Customer payments support companies Associated Non-Profit, Serenity Star, a 12-stage self-help group that has to struggle with addiction.
“This room means so much to us – not only as a donation arm of our non -profit organization, but as a home of Serenity Star Recovery Community and as a backdrop for so many memories, meals and meaningful moments with our incredible customers over the past 5 years, ”said the Café in his Facebook announcement.
Comfort Cafe has two more locations in Bandera Road 6812 in Leon Valley and 111 NW 1st Street in Smithville. In addition, the Facebook post about the closure of Los Patios was added “While this chapter is closing, a nice new thing is already being written. “
The Facebook announcement also teased an upcoming coffee, crepe and gift shop called Sweet Serenity, which is only steps from the Bandera Road location.
Comfort Cafe routinely collects awards for his brunch, including the best brunch tip in the 2023 Best of San Antonio. The café also ended up in 5th place on Yelp's National Top 100 Brunch Spots of the 2024 list, the highest ranking of all Texas restaurants in the Roundup.
The San Antonio locations of Comfort Cafe are open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Smithville Restaurant is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
