Does your home need a design refresh or a complete remodel? Are you curious about working with a professional interior designer but don't know where to start? The San Diego chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) is offering interior design advice at a lower price as part of its Winter Spruce-Up offering.
The program runs from February to March and offers in-home design consultations, giving consumers an easy, stress-free way to get started working with a designer.
“For a donation of $115 to ASID, a consumer can spend one hour consulting with a professional interior designer in their own home,” said event director Shannon Rice of ASID. The fee supports ASID chapter programs; The designer donates his time.
Rice explains that the designer can help with any design question. Examples include furniture placement and design, color selection, window treatments, aging-in-place solutions, media rooms, kitchen and bathroom remodels, outdoor kitchens and patios, and multigenerational living.
ASID matches consumers with the ideal professional based on their individual needs and geographic location.
“Professional design advice is not a luxury,” Rice said. “Designers can help minimize costs by avoiding costly mistakes and getting the most value out of the money you invest in your home.”
