The London design company Archamongers has updated the design and expansion of the Ray House in Hackney with a new Victorian terrace to join the mix. All of this is part of a celebration of the increased craftsmanship by integrating tailor -made surfaces, including the concrete frieze made by its customer. The renovation of the house is listed by a dark and divided floor plan.
The owners wanted the team to open the house and update the room to absorb their art and furniture. Johan Hybschmann, co-founder of ore dealers, said to Dezeen of the design: “The project has transformed the house from a poorly insulated, single-glazed and gas center property with an irrational compartment plan, into a thermally efficient, all-electric, high-tech, modern home with a plentiful day, which is deep into the house.”
