Washington, DC-Die congress member Claudia Tenney (NY-24) announced 15 projects that she submitted to the House Appropriations Committee in the 2026 financial year, including $ 2 million for a new roof for the public security building of Orleans County.

The CPF process enables municipalities and non-profit organizations to submit federal financing inquiries for projects with a high priority community with strong local support in the 24th congress district in New York, said Tenney's Office.

Each application was subjected to a strict review process to ensure that they are received solidly use of taxpayers and that applicants have a clear and responsible plan to issue targeted projects within one year, said Tenney.

In Orleans County, district officials are looking for 2 million US dollars for the building of public security for “important improvements for security”. Tenney also searched for the 2 million US dollars last year.

“We appreciate the fact that the MEP Tenney recognizes the infrastructure needs of the local governments and is working on securing 2 million dollars for the public security building of Orleans County,” said Lynne Johnson, chairman of the legislature in Orlean County. “Fixing a roof may not be the most exciting project, but it was very necessary to receive this building and the securing of safe working conditions for our public security team. We are very grateful that Tenney congress is delivered for us.”

A list of the Tenney 26 projects submitted also includes:

  • 2 million US dollars for Phase III of City of Lockport – Erie Canal Flight from Five Casters
  • 1 million US dollars for the new police station of the city of Oswego Police Department
  • 4,275,000 US dollars for installing the lights of the runway 10 Omni-Directional approaches at the Watertown International Airport for Jefferson County.
  • 2 million US dollars for the Schuyler County emergency center
  • 5 million US dollars for the revival of the city of Lyons in the district of the city of Lyons Canal Street
  • 3,300,000 US dollars for the city of the city's wastewater distribution project
  • 1 million US dollars for the Project for Water improvements from Throop from Groop

  • 1,500,000 US dollars for the water system of the village of Mexico
  • 3 million US dollars for the Village of Waterloo -Water System improvements and the improvement of wastewater treatment plants
  • 4 million US dollars for the renovation of the rural health service in Wayne County
  • 3 million US dollars for the Silver Lake Lake Bagging Project from Wyoming County

“The financing process of the community project enables the congress to hear directly from municipalities and community leaders about their needs,” said Tenney. “This year I submitted 15 projects on behalf of our district to improve the essential infrastructure, improve public security and revitalize our local communities. I am still striving to enter these projects throughout the appropriation and will continue to be a strong voice for the protection of their hard -earned tax money, while we represent our district in the congress.”
