The assembly of projects starts 2025 repairs

South Bend, Ind. (Wndu) – The project of the assembly together started its efforts from 2025 on Monday in South Bend.

The project focuses on supporting older and disabled people with repairs at home free of charge.

This year's project is to repair 20 houses in the Keller Park and Marquette Park.

The assembled project is expected that repairs will be made up to 220,000 US dollars such as new roofs, hot water.

Our team spoke to organizer Andre Waddell about the mission of the project.

“It is a program that focuses on deactivating houses for older people, and veterans who could otherwise not afford to rehabilitate their home,” says organizer Andre Waddell. “We come in, we support house repairs from roofs to HLK systems.”

This Saturday, about 800 unskilled and qualified workers will come together to support repairs to selected houses. This weekend is 36 of the 36th anniversary in the South Bend community.
