Kalispell – A historic building in Kalispell, which was granted financial resources for a new roof in June, is finally under construction.
The Kalispell Train Depot, which has been standing since 1892, needed many repairs when the city's parking and recreational department laid its business there last year.
The biggest problem was the roof and caused the city to be financed by the Historical Preservation Grant program, which the city had to be awarded in June 150,000 US dollars for the project.
Then a local match was required and the final estimated project costs are $ 215,000, according to Kalispell Parks and Recreation.
The roof is currently still under construction.
