At 336 Douglass Street in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood, a striking 17-story multifamily tower features a glass window wall system supplied and installed by Vista, a New York-based expert in commercial window and facade installations.
The building features a modern, uniform window wall system with privacy and spandrel glass, operable casement windows, patio doors, metal panels and HVAC louvers.
The metal panels were installed to cover the vertical building columns on the exterior, creating impressive visual effects that extend the full height of the structure. These panels utilized the bypass function of the window wall system, effectively concealing the edges of the floor panels and blending seamlessly into the building's façade.

The project is located on former commercial and industrial land in the Gowanus district that was rezoned in 2021 to allow for the construction of new high-rise multifamily residential developments.
The building has 188 apartments, including studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, 30 percent of which are designated as affordable housing.
There is also commercial space on the ground floor. The apartments feature hardwood floors, high-end kitchen appliances, brick backsplashes in the kitchens, and custom HVAC systems.
Residents have access to a gym, media room, lounge, yoga and dance studio, laundry room, bike storage, pet spa and rooftop terrace.
The developer of 336 Douglass Street is international real estate firm JLL Capital Markets, while the general contractor for the project is Artimus, LLC. The design of the project was carried out by Gerner Kronick + Valcarcel (GKV) Architects, and the building envelope consulting was carried out by Gilsanz Murray Steficek, LLP.
