In Waurika, emergency management reported almost 40 houses. Floods reached buildings in the city center, including fire and police authorities, town hall and much more.
In Lawton, the fire chief says that they reacted to hundreds of flood calls.
The streets remain washed out or closed in 16 counties over the state.
According to Sloane, the key to protecting your property is faster.
“Water worsens the material very quickly. That is why an emergency reaction is so important,” said Sloane. “You sit on water damage for about a week and see the mold growth, which is a secondary damage that takes insurance.”
In addition to the property damage, human stress is sober. The Ministry of Emergency Management by Oklahoma says that seven people have died of incidents related to floods.
The residents are encouraged to report damage to their property in damage.
