By adopting this year's bond proposal, the current tax tax from 7 million of the district of 2037 to 2045 with a net increase of last year is extended against the submission of last year.

A mill represents 1 US dollar that paid property taxes for every taxable value of a property of USD 1,000. For example, a business owner of Jackson County would pay around 700 US dollars a year with a property worth around 200,000 US dollars.

The new proposal is the second attempt at the district in a row in a bond extension. In the elections in May 2024, the voters rejected a similar proposal of $ 9.9 million for East Jackson.

The roof via the original gym and the auxiliary fitness studio of the primary school is replaced with the roof via the gym, the cafeteria and the seventh classroom wing at the secondary school.

Maintenance and improvement work take place in East Jackson Elementary, East Jackson Secondary School and Administration Buildings.

The high school fitness studio is being replaced – something that has not happened since the school was built in 1973 – like the fountain and water tank system, which has been available at East Jackson Elementary School since 1973.

The bond finance also enables the installation of new safety locks in the classroom and fire -rated glass in both school buildings. Both schools would also receive an extended laboratory room for StEM programs.

Further improvements are the exchange of devices in both buildings, the improvement of the Intercom system at the secondary school and the improvement of the districts of the sports facilities.

Both buildings receive improvements in the heating and ventilation system, including a new highly efficient HLK unit on the basic and air conditioning in 21 classrooms of the secondary school.
