The Light and Health Research Center (LHRC) on the ICAHN School of Medicine on Mount Sinai has announced that the New York WAC Group has joined the LHRC Lighthing Education Partnership. The partnership is a cooperation between companies, organizations, government agencies and other companies that are interested in sensible and effective education in lighting.

The mission of the LHRC lighting partnership is to provide high-quality education that extends the understanding of the value of the lighting among end users. Part of this mission includes the provision of technical information about the use of light more sustainable and offers the greatest benefit to the health of people and the planet. “The support of the WAC lighting as a lighting education partner will help us to expand our efforts to investigate a wide range of people about the advantages that the lighting can offer,” said Dan Frering, the LHRC program manager for educational programs. “We thank the WAC Group for your financing and look forward to working with you on future education programs.”

From August of this year, the LHRC will work with the WAC Group to deliver a number of webinars that provide education about how light affects the health and well-being of people in a number of living and business premises.
