Thoughts on the 1-3 ravens

The Baltimore Ravens entered the 2025 season as one of the Super Bowl favorites.

The Ravens appear with a 1: 3 record in October and will perform the Houston Texans on Sunday without Lamar Jackson.

Fast hits:

  • I thought they would start 4-2 with 3-3 before the Bye. The immediate goal is to find a way to win these two games against Houston and the La Rans and become healthier over the grip.
  • Of course, the Texans and Rams have both talents of the Playoff Thaders, and the Ravens will be missing many talents outside of Jackson Sunday. Lose one of these two games and you are 2-4 in the Bye. As it is, I think CBS Said on Sunday that only a 1-3 team has ever reached the Super Bowl. My thought was even with her 3-1 start. I think the Pittsburgh Steelers are a 9 or 10-winning team. If the ravens don't win these two games, will their only way to win the playoffs?
  • If you get the majority of walking back after the goodbye, I think that a 9-2-, 8-3 route is within reach. I still expect you to win the north. Think about what you lost in the first month are potential home games compared to Buffalo and KC. Of course, you still have to be able to reach the post -season to potentially win games in the post -season, and at some point there are simply too many injuries to overcome them. You may be able to deal with Jackson, who is traveling for one or two games. Losing Namdi Madubuike for the season (and possibly his career) is crushed. Next man, next opportunity and all of this; But you lose the ceiling when you lose such an all-project. Roquan Smith is over on Sunday. Patrick Ricard stays outside. Marlon Humphrey is out. Chidobe awuzie is out. Broderick Washington is on the road for a few more games. Kyle Hamilton is beaten up. Ronnie Stanley and Odafe Oweh too.
  • The defense was disappointing and that is before the injuries … but certainly tightens it. How do you correctly judge the defense on the last Sunday when you were missing the entire Dlineman and then lost Roquan and Marlon in the game? And you could say “Roquan didn't play well before the injury.” Okay, but you are obviously better with him than with the backup.
  • All defensive metrics were terrible, the reason in the league last year after 7 weeks. They ended the year TOP 10 in most categories. The schedule became easier and they stabilized. Especially after they had adjusted how Hamilton was used. I think the same can happen this year if they are not completely wiped out by injuries.
  • I don't see any supporters for the defensive coordinator Zach Orr. Do you roll with him or do you make a change (Chuck Pagano, Dean Pees)? It seems to me that the defense of Orr is similar what they would receive from Pees, as they can see this influence. If you make a change, you will be done during the Bye.
  • The Ravens got a full season from Stanley last year. That was not the norm for him. Could not have been the expectation for this year. He is not right, no ricard … you don't have the same blocking. The guards can run block, but not effectively block. More Max Protect, Jumbo sets? Run the ball, protect the QB? If you spread the WRS and try to pull defenders out of the box, you have to get rid of the ball faster than always try to find something that develops in the downfield. I would commit myself to lead Henry more and more. Make the teams sorry to tackle it and set up with the TES more plays. Certainly this Sunday the game book with Cooper Rush must be at the center.
  • I feel that the majority of the fan base is John Harbaugh. I've always been lukewarm. My general attitude is that his teams usually played hard and maintained the focus. He is not a tactic. It is on Monday to Saturday and less on Sunday. If you don't love some of the decision making every week, you estimate that this is not as important as what happens during the week. I think the comment on his outdated messages is eliminated because there is so much squad sales from year to year. In recent years, these have been excellent teams (DVOA, our own eyes) in recent years. You can consider him responsible for the lack of results after the season, but for me this is largely lucky with the draw. In general, I am okay when the ravens continue after the season, but an inside season would really shock me.

The ravens have to find a way to beat Houston.
It doesn't matter how ugly the game is, everything that matters is to find a W.

According to our friends, the Ravens are currently gaining a chance of 55.8% according to the ESPN match-up predictor, while according to our friends in the desert, the Texans are a favorite of 1.5 points.
