Don't let August slip away without a visit to one of the National Parks of America. On Monday, the National Park Service (NPS) does not go -on fees to celebrate the Great American Outdoors Act.

The Great American Outdoors Act and the Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund Signed in 2020 are 6.65 billion dollars for maintenance and repair projects in the national parks.

According to NPS, this financing has contributed to projects in all 50 states, Washington, DC and several US territories.

“It is supporting more than 180 Large scale infrastructure projects, including extensive improvements to iconic roads in Yellowstone, Shenandoah, Glacier, Theodore Roosevelt, Great Smoky Mountains, and Grand Teton National Parks. It has renovated campgrounds in Yosemite, Zion, Mount Rainier, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and Upgraded Vital Safe and Functional Water and Wastewater, HLK and Electrical Systems in Rocky Mountain, Acadia and Grand Canyon National Parks, “said the NPS in a press release.

The Fox forecast Center is watching a nice day across the country to enjoy a great day of the American outdoors. Parks in the southeast and in the middle Atlantic can see some showers.

Many locations managed by National Park are free of charge, some require entrance fees, and high traffic locations require reservations. The NPs recently announced that they would do without entrance fees for all parks on certain days of the year.

According to 2024 NPS statistics, the Great Smoky Mountains, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Rocky Mountain are the five best national parks that calculate access.

The next free entrance day is September 27th to mark the national public state parliament. The last free day of 2025 is Veterans Day on November 11th.
