The instrumentation company Bowers Group has just announced the introduction of a completely new kind of environmentally friendly case for its products, reported the TCT magazine.
As with many tools, the Bowers Group metrology equipment, which used to receive in plastic memory covers. However, these are now replaced by a composite material from 70% renewable resources, including glucose, natural growing, minerals and fibers. This makes it much less dependent on crude oil, a dirty energy source that is responsible for a large amount of soil, water and air pollution.
In addition to more environmentally friendly materials, the new cases are also completely recyclable. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of thrown away packaging microplastics in our environment.
The Bowers Group made its sustainability efforts one step further by reducing unnecessary paper waste in its products. Instead of including printed instructions, a QR code is now used so that users can access this information online.
“The Bowers Group has always been a pioneer in the provision of high-quality measurement solutions, and this relocation to sustainable packaging is a natural expansion of the company's ethos, which is striving for according to Excellence,” said Martin Hawkins, Managing Director of Bowers Group, the TCT Magazin.
“By choosing more sustainable packaging cases, we set a standard in the precision measuring industry and promote environmentally conscious practices during our processes. It is a project that I am particularly proud of and thank the team for their hard work when issuing from us.”
This change also fits the company's commitment to reach net zero by 2050 by removing the same amount of pollution from the air. At a time when many other companies give up sustainability goals, positive steps show how they are integrity and community -minded people who are looking for many buyers in a company.
Supporting this initiative and the search for other environmentally friendly packaging options is a great way to reduce its effects on the environment.
