At first glance, an Italian-American Chophouse may appear in Greece like a hard sale. But ignore the labels at Elio and they are rewarded. An ideal dinner begins with a seabace startar, which is beaten with olives and jalapeños, then served into a mammoth, perfectly grilled New York strip for two, on a painted ceramic panels with charred torpedo onions, shishito peppers and a whole head made of roasted garlic. Combine it with a glass of red from the basement, 85% of which are Greek, and end everything with the richest, most intense caramel gelato.
