The summer of 2024 proved to be a season for moody color palettes, cozy reading rooms and the concentration on inner calm and wellness, but according to Houzz, summer 2025 is the opposite.
In the recent annual “Emerging Summer Trends Report”, Houzz's interior design experts say that homeowners have renewed their interest in bold home designs. The eight trends were determined by search data from US home owners, home members and design enthusiasts from January to March 2025 and were compared with the results of the last year.
These are Houzz's top trends of the summer:
Fat -colored color schemes
The most striking difference between the report of the last summer and this year's flip for the selection of the room color. The summer of 2024 was all about moody rooms and dark decor, while this summer focuses on courageous techniques using monochromatic or analog color schemes.
A popular method is “color -blame”, which means that a single color is used over all furniture, walls, trim and even the ceiling. The search for cool color pallets has raised 206 percent growing popularity, while also warm systems experienced an increase in popularity (106 percent).

“Wood -soaked” rooms

Houzz added that hanging on vintage furniture can also be a budget-friendly option to avoid price fluctuations and supply chain challenges with new furniture.
Warm metal accents
At a distance of chrome and nickel surfaces of Builder-Grade-Grade, warmer metal accents such as copper and gold are entered by lights, bathroom fittings and kitchen dishes such as sinks and range hoods. The report says that these modern design details give sophistication and luxury in one room and at the same time create a “glamorous” industrial look.
French country style

Beverage stations
As drinks, there was a lively way to spend a night with friends, but now homeowners are moving with customizable beverage stations for dinner parties and cocktail hours in their own houses. Just as Kid Zones were a popular choice in the report of the last summer, committed “fun zones” like a play room as a new way to maintain at home have become more popular. Homeowners are particularly interested in poker tables, Greens and Lego rooms that devote themselves to the construction of elaborate sets. Modular gaming tables that include incoming centers are also a good choice for groups that are interested in playing “dungeons and dragons” or board games.
