One of the greatest ways to win equity in your house is a kitchen remodel. However, getting the entire kitchen and getting brand new cupboards and worktops is expensive.
For more homeowners, this is a renovation for which they save for years. You may also not want to deal with the challenge of carrying out an entire kitchen conversion in which your refrigerator spends a few weeks in your dining room and you give a hot plate for weeks.
According to Designer Leslie Gallant from Ridgewood Design in Hartford, there are easier ways to update your kitchen look without breaking the bank and destroying your routine.
A few layers of paint: Greens are in there, shades of gray are over.
“The biggest bang for your money is color,” said Gallant. “Change the color color on the walls or if you have dark kitchen cabinets, you can paint them as a neutral color.” Some of the colors gallant indicate that they are a white or neutral for top cabinets or circumference cabins as well as an entertaining color on an island such as olive green or hunter green.
“Greens are what tends into kitchen color,” said Gallant. “Gray is on the way to the outside. Olive green, hunter green and rich, historical green are very popular. Go with oatmeal instead of gray.”
Gallant said the Cream family was very classic when they are in New England.

“It will never go out of fashion,” she said. “It comes back and you can't do anything wrong. White cupboards are also a classic New England style.”
If you are ready to tackle the project of the painter cabinets yourself, Gallant said that you are sure that you are going to the local color business and receive the right products.
“It is mainly the way they prepare,” she said. “You cannot use an old color on your cupboards.”
If painting of the cupboards is not her thing, she also suggested to replace some panels for glass or use open shelves to change the overview and the feeling of the kitchen.
“Add plates or small succulents and small accessories to the open shelves,” said Gallant.
Push your lighting with rattan patterns and basket tissue materials
Another way to change the feeling of the kitchen is in your lighting options.
“What is currently popular is the trailer or the basket fabric material looking from rattan,” she said. “Perhaps insert a trailer light if you have high ceilings or an art beam.”
So that the window treatments can work with the lighting, Gallant woven woven wood blinds suggests.
“It gives a negative space a lot of texture and depth,” she said. “Most surfaces are hard in a kitchen and don't really have many ways to create softness and cosiness.”
She said that adding pillows to chairs could help the kitchen to give an element of the comfort.

Break out the wallpaper
Peel and stick wallpaper is used several times, she said.
“It is inexpensive and can change the look and add a certain personality,” said Gallant.
You can try to use wallpapers on one of the walls in the kitchen or as an alternative to Backplash.
“In contrast to real tiles, it is inexpensive,” she said. “If you don't have a back splash, peel and stick wallpaper can be great.”

Get smartware smart
Never forget the hardware on your cupboards. If you switch off these small buttons and pulling outfits, you can have an enormous effect in your kitchen.
Gallant stressed change The hardware is inexpensive and enables a more modern look in the kitchen. With increasing age, the hardware becomes dirty and old. A simple bar train or something shiny than currently an easy way to change the personality of a kitchen.
