Young people bring a new life to the centuries-old ring gold church

Thanks to the efforts of a committed group of teenagers of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church in Lexington, Virginia, an urgently needed roof repair, which has stood for over a century, from the young volunteers who have decided to work their summer break on the project thanks to the efforts of a committed group of teenagers.

Pastor Anthony Nobel by Sunny Level Baptist Church thanked for the help. “It is good that churches can reach each other and help each other,” he said. Nobel noticed that the roof has been needing repairs for some time and it described it as a miracle that it took as long as it.

The initiative is part of an annual mission of the Manly Memorial Baptist Church, in which you choose a needy church and offer a complete repair job free of charge. This year, ten teenagers accepted the challenge and worked tirelessly under the summer sun. Emily Bowling, one of the volunteers, emphasized the importance of work. “I mean someone has to do it and it makes no sense to complain about it. It's for a good cause,” she said.

Bowling recognized the difficulty of the task, but remained committed to the mission. “It's hard work, it's hot, but I think it is just, it helps someone and it doesn't matter what I have to sacrifice to do it because it is important that you are available to you,” she said.

Pastor Skyler Daniel from Manly Memorial Baptist Church emphasized the broader influence of the project on the young volunteers. “There are so much inner trust in these children to know that they are people who contribute to other people and that they can do hard things,” he said.

The roof repair is expected to be completed by the end of the week. Pastor Nobel expressed his deep appreciation for the support of the youth group. “It is great, it is good that churches can turn each other and help each other, and we are grateful that they did it, and we are grateful to this organization again that we came out and helped us,” he said.
